ASF Detected in Kirovograd Region
At a private enterprise «Garant» (Verbluzhka village, Kropivnitsky district, Kirovograd region) pigs died of African swine fever (ASF). This was reported in the State Consumer Service. Now there has been approved a plan of action and the boundaries of the epizootic focus, protection zones with a radius of 3 km and surveillance zones have been defined.

The government replaced the head of the State Consumer Service
The Cabinet has appointed deputy head of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection Olga Shevchenko as acting head of the service. Such personnel decisions were made at a meeting on February 1, the government press service reports.

State Consumer Service has provided recommendations on combating ASF
In order to ensure a stable epizootic situation on the territory of Ukraine and to prevent the entry of African swine fever, the State Service for the Prevention of Swine Fever recommends that owners keeping livestock to strengthen measures to prevent the occurrence of ASF.

State Consumer Service during martial law keeps control of state prices
During 7 months of 2022 specialists of State Consumer Service carried out 85 planned and 855 unplanned inspections of economic entities on the observance of requirements for formation, establishment and application of state regulated prices. In the course of inspections they found violations in 705 cases or 74.9% of the total number of inspections.

Subjects of management, wishing to get information about detection, presence (presence) of unregistered genetically modified organisms in crops or harvested crops, have possibility, according to the Law of Ukraine "About main principles of state supervision (control) in the sphere of economic activity" to apply to chief departments of State Supervision (control) Service in areas with written statement for unplanned state supervision (control) measures.
